<div itemprop="description">LUTES, Conrad Claude, Age 68, Halifax. It is with sadness, the family of Conrad Claude Lutes announces his passing on August 4, 2015, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. He will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving wife of 33 years, Judy MacPherson. He was predeceased by his parents, Preston Lutes and Reta Buraglia Lutes. Born in Moncton, N.B., he was raised and educated in Truro and graduated from Saint Mary's University. Conrad retired from CBC after 34 rewarding years as a broadcast journalist in Goose Bay and Halifax. Conrad enjoyed a relentless passion for life. He found pleasure in everyday living and, without exception, brought pleasure to others every day. An astute observer and commentator, Conrad loved a good discussion after dinner and a glass of fine scotch. Whether military history, family heritage or stamps, he was intrigued by fine detail, intellectual curiosity and possessed encyclopedic knowledge. He took pride in serving in military reserve units across Atlantic Canada for many years. Along with his spouse, Conrad is survived by his brother, Kurt (Deborah Wheeler); sisters-in-law, Jean Chaisson (Gordon), Margie MacPherson, Bernadette MacPherson (George Salmaniw); brothers-in-law, Duncan MacPherson (Janet), Tom MacPherson (Bev), Terry MacPherson (Debbie). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Kristin, Caitlin, Natalie, Terri, John Malcolm, twins, Calum and Madeline, Colin, Trudi, Yurij, and Sophia. Special thanks to staff and doctors of the Kidney Transplant Team, 6B, ICU and the Dialysis Unit at the VG Site, QEII.
