<div itemprop="description">Beals (Grant), Diane age 66 of North Preston passed away peacefully in the Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by loving family on Thursday, May 12, 2016. Born in North Preston she was the daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn (Smith) Grant. She was married to the late Archie “Curly” Beals. Diane worked her first job at The Nova Scotia Home for Coloured Children. She then worked at V.G. Hospital, Citadel Inn, Dollarama and Ross Road School. She was a devoted member of Saint Thomas Baptist Church and a faithful member of I.O.D.E. and WMS. Diane is survived by her sons, Shawn, Tyson and Christopher; daughters, Camilla and Sharday; 14 grandchildren; brothers, Alexander, Harold Junior “June Boy”, Harold, Jr. (Myra), Stanley (Erna), Pastor Lloyd (Cecille), Paul (Natalie); sisters, Opie, Audrey, Courine Fraser (Stanford), Georgina, Beulah Provo (Brenton) and Inez. Predeceased by maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Inez Smith; paternal grandparents, William and Mabel Grant; brother, Basil; sisters, Ellen, Emily, Ollie and Evelyn. Arrangements entrusted to Cole Harbour Funeral Home. Visitation to be held on Monday, May 16 at 7pm-8:30pm with a funeral service 1pm Tuesday, May 17 all at Saint Thomas Baptist Church, Rev. Wallace Smith officiating. Burial in Saint Thomas Baptist Church Cemetery. Donations in Diane’s memory may be made to Saint Thomas Baptist Church.
