<div itemprop="description">LORIMER, Dianne E - 74, Dartmouth. It is with heavy hearts, we say good-bye to Dianne Eleanor Lorimer. Dianne passed away on September 22nd, 2016, knowing she was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She fought a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis for many years. <br> <br> <br> <br>Dianne's positive outlook on life, affected all those around her. She was genuinely interested in her family and friends as well as many co-workers she had in her years spent at RJR MacDonald in Dartmouth and Lawtons Head Office in Halifax. She enjoyed sharing stories and was always up for a shopping trip if asked. <br> <br> <br> <br>She loved to travel to warm sunny destinations, with family and friends. Bavaro Beach, in the Dominican Republic was her favorite location. <br> <br> <br> <br>Dianne was very proud of her two sons, Paul Swallow and Brian Lorimer, her grandchildren and step-grandsons. She had many happy years of marriage to Keith Lorimer and they remained friends in her final years. <br> <br> <br> <br>Dianne was predeceased by her mother Jean (MacDonald) Ross. She will be forever missed by her sons, Paul (Kathy) Swallow, Brian (Rhonda) Lorimer, grandchildren Kyle and Stacey Swallow, Stephanie and Brandon Lorimer and step-grandsons, Sam, Jimmy and Andy Cutler. She is survived by her siblings, Anna, Jack, Shirley and John, as well as many much loved nieces and nephews. <br> <br> <br> <br>Many thanks to the special care given to Dianne during her illness by the devoted staff of Bissett Court and previously Oceanview Manor. Our family is very grateful to her 'girls' for the love and care provided to Dianne. <br> <br> <br> <br>Cremation has taken place.Visitation will be held 9 to 11 am Saturday in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road. A celebration of life will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 AM. Private family interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. A reception will take place following the interment at 6 Edmond Drive, Dartmouth. Family flowers only please.
