Edward "Ted" Bartlett

Age 85 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully April 4 2017 at Oakwood Terrace.
Born in London, England he was a son of the late Isabel and Walter Bartlett.
He arrived in Canada on the RMS Aquitania in 1948.
He was active in his communities for many years as a hockey and figure skating coach. A proud moment for Ted was having Donald Jackson participate at a figure skating event.
As a member of the military, he and his family have lived all over Canada and in Lahr, West Germany. An extensive traveler, he took his family throughout Europe making lasting memories. He served for 35 years in the Canadian Military retiring as a Commanding Officer with 723 Communications Squadron.
While living in Colby Village, Ted and Sally were active members of Pope John XXIII Parish. Ted was a reader and in the Knights of Columbus.
He will be remembered for his life-long love of movies.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Kathleen “Sally” (Lawrence) Bartlett; daughter, Pamela; sons, Mark and Todd (Sheri); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Stanley, Walter and Albert; daughter-in-law Susan; son-in-law William “Bill” Puszkar.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 9 in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road, Dartmouth from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Cremation will take place. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am Wednesday, April 12 in St. John XXIII Parish Church, 35 Colby Drive, Dartmouth, officiated by Father Irek Bem. A reception will follow in the church hall.
