<div itemprop="description">Starr, Eric Edward – 87 of Dartmouth passed away suddenly due to natural causes and too much of nothing to watch on TV on May 28, 2016 . Long time resident of Dartmouth. He was a son of the late Arthur C. and Rita V. ( Short) Starr. He worked for 25 years for Cal Lab and Unident. Eric was quite a character ; always said” if something can’t be fixed throw it out”, better yet if he couldn’t fix it then you could throw it out. He loved to tinker with things especially his television and audio collection. He was always tuned in; in his one bedroom apartment. His favorite shows were MASH “Days of our Lives” and “America’s Got Talent” but mostly loved his Blue Jays. His other hobbies included Shopping at Giant Tiger and the Dollar Store; flirting with the ladies at the Braemar Superstore. By giving them a hard time it gave him a HAHA. Eric loved taking home movies and hardly came to any holiday dinner without his video camera. He was an unbelievably amazing father and grandfather, he changed diapers, fed and played with the girls; his favorite time though was nap time. He loved dessert consisting of a chocolate cookie and occasionally an apple pie. Often he was caught resting his eyes after a meal and while watching his “shows”. Had weekly dinner dates with his lil sister and best friend Donna, and playing board games. He leaves behind his daughter Cynthia “CJ” ( Lee) Harvey; Granddaughters, Raven, Pyper-Jean, grandsons, Rick and Arron. Sisters, Donna Miller, Betty McKeown, step-son Robert Baker, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Veryl (Day) Starr, brother Arthur, sister Joan Bowes, step son Arthur Baker. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Service will be held Friday June 3, 2016 at 2 pm in the Grace United Church 70 King Street Dartmouth with Reception following. Special thank you to Annette, dad’s neighbor for spoiling Dad ; he really thought the world of you It meant a lot.
