<div itemprop="description">O&rsquo;MELIA, James Freeman, - age 85, of Musquodoboit Harbour. <br />It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James. He passed away on April 4, 2016 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary with his family by his side. <br />James will be dearly missed by his wife of 45 years, Marie (Andrews) ; and children Susan (Willie) Sullivan, Hatchet Lake, Sandra (Mike) , Bridgewater, Sherrial Maloney, Dartmouth, Sylvia (Harold), Hammonds Plains, Jimmy (Stephanie), Cooks Brook; grandchildren, Jamie, Danny, Sarah, Nicole, Steven, Andrew, Wilfred, Collin, Westley, and Allison; great-grandchildren, Paige and Quinn and brother Wayne, Halifax. <br />He was predeceased by his parents George and Muriel; sisters, Eileen, Doris, Margaret Rose; brothers, Maynard and Thomas and his first wife Edie MacAvoy. <br />James was employed by city Transit for 10 years and for 30 years with Acadian Lines. He received many awards for years of safe driving. He enjoyed his retirement years, fishing and hunting and walking his grand-dog Molly. He loved working on old cars and tractors. He was also a member of the Musquodoboit River Association and the Trans Canada Trails, Musquodoboit. <br />Cremation has taken place. By his request, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life service and interment in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville will take place at a later date. <br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia <br />Online condolences may be made by visiting www.coleharbourfuneral.com <br /> <br /></div>
