<div itemprop="description">WILSON, Jean Marguerite (Harnish) 90- Blockhouse died peacefully in QEII Halifax Infirmary Hospital on August 16, 2015.<br /><br />Born in Woodside, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Ethel Harnish (Ernst).<br /><br />She graduated from high school in 1940 and was married in 1945. Jean was an accomplished knitter and enjoyed this throughout her life. She also enjoyed sports and was a Montreal Canadians and Toronto Blue Jays fan. She held various jobs throughout her life to help support her family, ending her working carrier at Woolco. Upon retiring in the mid 1980&rsquo;s, Jean started travelling. She enjoyed visiting her children, grandchildren and sisters in Western Canada and also enjoyed her first trip to Europe at the age of 75.<br /><br />Jean is survived by her sister Dorothy, Guysbororugh County, and her children, Janet (Jeff) Enderby B.C., Maureen Bridgewater, Heather (Bob) Dartmouth, and William (Michelle) Calgary AB. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jack, Ray, Alvin and Murray and her sisters Hazel and Hope. Jean will be remembered by her four children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.<br /><br />The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff from both South Shore Regional Hospital and the Halifax Infirmary for their help and support during Jean&rsquo;s final days. Our prayers and thanks go to these dedicated individuals and the work they perform.<br /><br />Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, September 14, 2015 in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at daughter Heather&rsquo;s residence. Reverend James Haughn officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jean&rsquo;s life. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Alice Housing, Dartmouth.
