<div itemprop="description">LANE, Lois Doreen, 93 - It is with deep sadness and much love that the family announces Lois's peaceful passing on Monday August 8th, 2016 in Ivany Place, Bedford. Lois was born in Parkindale, NB, a rural countryside that she had so much fondness for and that provided her with so many cherished memories of time spent there with family and friends over her lifetime. She was a daughter of the late Leonard and Florence "Flossie" Wilson (Martin). Besides her parents, Lois was predeceased by her husband, Fleming Alfred Lane (2000); son Alan Leroy, at the age of 19 (1978); brothers, Vincent, Earle, Edwin "Sonny"; brother in laws Willard Milburn, Eddie Mitton. Those losses only seemed to commit her further to her remaining surviving family, daughters, Brenda Carson, Ivany Place, Bedford; Susan Cusack, Bedford ; her precious granddaughter, Chelsea Rebecca Cusack, Alberta, whom she adored and shared a very special bond with; sisters Nina Milburn, Moncton; Eileen Mitton , Etobicoke, Ont; sister in laws Marion Wilson, Salisbury, NB; Jackie Wilson, Etobicoke, Ont; Kathleen Geldart, Petitcodiac, NB; and numerous nieces, nephews and their children. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Ivany Place, Bedford, in particular those in Fisherman's Landing, who made Mom's last months so wonderful, full of companionship, laughter, compassion and love. She truly felt at home there as have all of us. Also much gratitude to RJF Healthcare Service, Dr. Jason Reynolds of Bedford, EHS, the Cobequid Multiservice Centre and the QEII for at home care and their numerous patient services utilized too many times to count over the past years. To all those who visited, sent cards, brought treats and gifts throughout Mom's illness, many of whom she had shared fellowship with for over 65 years at the Bedford Baptist Church, we thank each one of you, her days were made much brighter through your efforts. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Wednesday August 24th at Ivany Place, (2nd Floor Chapel), 123 Gary Martin Drive, Bedford. Lois’s nephew, Rev. Robbie Milburn of Heritage Baptist Church, and Kathy Cochrane of Bedford Baptist Church will officiate. Refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory may be made to Bedford Baptist Church, or charity of your choice. A private family interment will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville at a later date.
