Arsenault, Marc Andre – age 55 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2016, surrounded by his loving family in the Dartmouth General Hospital after a courageous one year battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Howard Arsenault, Dartmouth and the late Alberta (Levasseur) Arsenault. Marc was devoted to his wife Michele, who was the love of his life, and his family. He spent most of his working career as a Certified Engineering Technologist for CBCL Limited, Halifax, specializing in PLC and HMI programming and equipment commissioning.
Marc had an inquisitive mind, and was an excellent craftsman. He could complete any household or yard project, build detailed models, and assemble complex kits. He took pride in his work, which was reflected in the fine detail in everything he did. He also taught himself how to play the drums, and later the banjo. One of Marc’s favorite hobbies was constructing and flying remote control airplanes. He also obtained his private pilot’s license and flew single engine aircraft for a number of years. He fulfilled a lifelong dream to experience flying a large aircraft, after traveling to Vancouver to successfully complete a flight in a Boeing 767 simulator.
Marc is survived by his loving wife, Michele (Savidant) Arsenault; his father, Howard, brother, Peter (Marilyn), Lower Sackville; sisters, Carole, Halifax, Diane, Dartmouth; step-daughter, Natalie Robia; step-son, Stephen Robia (Jessica Thoms); step-grandsons Dominic and Roman; mother and father-in-law Bill and Noreen Savidant; sister-in-laws Nancy Heppleston (Peter) and Cindy Forbes (Peter), nieces Shari and Lauren Arsenault, Marianne Botting (Mike), nephews Jamie Forbes (Erin) and Justin Forbes (Chelsey McPhail), uncles, aunts and cousins.
