<div itemprop="description">DOUGLAS, Marilyn Bernadette &ndash; 61, Halifax, passed away April 27th, 2016 in QEII Health Sciences Centre VG Site. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Fitzherbert &ldquo;Fitz&rdquo; and Sarah Jane (Borden) Farrell. She was predeceased by brother Charlie Clyke and Angus Farrell, sisters Lillian (Joseph) Young, Enid (Ernest) McAully, Carman, Daisy and Hassina Farrell. <br /> <br />She is survived by husband Charles J. &ldquo;Joe&rdquo; Douglas; daughters, Laurie Beulah Zwicker; Darlene (Michael) Henry; sisters, Lorraine (James) Borden; Tina Farrell; Catherine Gerro; brothers, Vincent (Aline) Farrell; James (Michelle) Farrell; four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />Marilyn was a nanny for thirty one years. She loved to travel, shop and eat out with her beloved Joey. Marilyn never forgot a birthday or anniversary and she never let the family forget her birthday either. Family gatherings were always very special to her and every holiday she checked to see who was planning something. <br />She liked jelly beans, country music Conway Twitty and Charlie Pride <br /> <br />Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road, where visitation will be held 2-4 &amp; 7-9 PM Sunday. Funeral Service will be 1 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Wanda Lawrence officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment 10 AM Tuesday in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens, 767 Main Street, Dartmouth. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to ALS Society or Nova Scotia Health Authority.
