MACKWOOD, Micheal E, 20 – Montague Gold Mines. It is with a heartfelt sadness that we, the family of Michael E Mackwood announce his passing on March 13 2016 at home.

Born in Halifax, he was a son of Doug and Deianna Mackwood. He attended Lockview High school, then St Mary’s University. He was currently completing his last year of Primary Care Paramedicine 2014/2016 class at Holland College in PEI. It was his greatest dream to be a paramedic so he could help people.

Mike is leaving a huge void in this world with his passing, he had such a huge heart, big smile, hearty laugh and a strong shoulder for anyone who needed support or love. He gave freely of himself and asked for nothing in return, the world would be a much better place if it had more people like Mike in it.
Mike would want his friends and family to carry on in his place, please hug and take care of each other so that Mike will be granted his wish.

Besides his parents, Mike is survived by his sister Maria; brother Matthew (Haley Rogerson); aunts Raylene (Wilford); Andrea; Leone (Robert); uncle Eric Erme (Kristeva Dowling) and dearly loved cousins. Pre-deceased by Paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. To honor his memory and spirit, a celebration of Life will be held 2-4 PM Saturday March 19, 2016 at Casino Nova Scotia (Compass Room).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to mental health. Private family interment at a later date. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.coleharbourfuneral.com
