It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a much-loved wife, mother, sister, aunt and great friend, Shirley Elizabeth on November 5, 2016. Shirley passed away at home surrounded by family and friends and was comforted to know that she would be going home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Born in Three Mile Plains, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Dorothy Swinamer. Shirley was a perfect homemaker, who loved to cook and her family was the most important thing in her life. She was a faithful member of Sackville Christian Fellowship Church and was generous in supporting various charities in her community. Shirley was an avid Mooseheads fan and she and Pirie never missed a home game. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends and loved to skate, bike and bowl. Shirley’s caring and generous nature and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Shirley is survived by her husband of 58 years, Pirie; son, Stephen; brother, Victor (Marianne) and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen; brothers, Ernest, Phillip and Arnold. Visitation will be held Friday, November 11 from 2-4 p.m. in Sackville Christian Fellowship Church, 387 Old Sackville Rd., Lower Sackville.
