<div itemprop="description">Age 80 of Cole Harbour passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side on Sunday, February 12 2017. <br> <br>Born in Dartmouth, she was a daughter of the late Charles “Charlie” and Katherine (Campbell) Bissett. <br> <br>She is survived by her daughter, Ellen; sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Pelletier, both of Cole Harbour; aunt, Margaret Copeland, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Theresa (Victor) Doucet, Plymouth, Yarmouth Co; Ruth Fall-LeBlanc, Port Wallace; brother-in-law, Gilbert LeBlanc, Calgary; and cousins, nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Shirley lived in Cole Harbour all her life, except 9 months in Ontario when she followed her husband for work. She loved knitting, flowers, animals, and her tea. She always had the kettle on for family and friends. She was like a mother to the neighborhood children, Carmen, Terence, Edward, and Anita. <br> <br>Shirley was predeceased by her husband, John “Reuben”; brothers-in-law, Ivan Pelletier, Joseph LeBlanc, Clifford (Marjorie) LeBlanc; sisters-in-law Evangeline “Girlie” (Charlie) Nash, Marie Thorne, Bernice LeBlanc; and nieces, Patsy LeBlanc, and Judy LeBlanc-Offman. <br> <br>Cremation has taken place. No service by request.
