<div itemprop="description">Francis, Stephen Howard, age 51 of Cole Harbour passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 8, 2015 in QE II Halifax Infirmary Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Howard &ldquo;Larry&rdquo; Victor Francis and Alana Ethel Francis (nee Williamson). Stephen volunteered his time as a coach for Cole Harbour Soccer Association. He was a huge animal lover especially when it came to his golden retriever Dakota and a diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan. Stephen&rsquo;s biggest passion was spending time with his wife and two children at home. He enjoyed watching sports (football, golf and hockey) as well, as documentaries and old movies, his favorite being &ldquo;Gone with the Wind&rdquo;. He was an avid golfer and a jack of all trades. He worked for many years at Amusements and The Triangle Snooker Club and built unique pool tables all over the province. Stephen was a skilled outdoors man who enjoyed working on cars, especially when teaching his son the lessons he had learned. Always playing practical jokes and making others laugh; he always had an upbeat attitude and always commanded a room&rsquo;s attention. Stephen had old school values and always saw the good in individuals, he truly made the world a better place. Survived by his wife Kim Francis, Cole Harbour; daughter, Brittney Lee Francis, Cole Harbour; son, Stephen Francis Jr.; sisters, Cindy (Francis) Travis and Cheyenne (Francis) Frame; brothers, Mark and Michael Francis; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Father Howard &ldquo;Larry&rdquo; Francis, Mother Alana Ethel Francis (nee Williamson); brother, Richard &ldquo;Ricky&rdquo; Edmond Francis; Baby Boy Dakota Francis. Stephen will always be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him, especially his wife and two children. Visitation will be held 2 -4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road. Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Thursday, in the funeral home chapel. Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial in Mapleview Cemetery, Marshalltown Digby, Nova Scotia. Flowers greatly appreciated. Donations in memory may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Special thanks to the staff at the QE11 5.1 Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
