<div itemprop="description">Bissett, Stewart Morton – age 86 of Cole Harbour Passed away suddenly Friday, March 17, 2017in Ocean View Continuing Care. Born April 13, 1930 in Halifax, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Bentley) Bissett. Stewart graduated from the NSAC in 1949. He lived in Cole Harbour all his life, and moved to Bissett Road in 1955 where he farmed and peddled his produce in Dartmouth. After working as a carpenter for many years, he then sold produce at the Dartmouth Market until he had health issues. Stewart is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Florence (MacIntosh); children, William, McKay Section, Beverlee, Dartmouth, Henry, Cole Harbour, Bernice (Phillip Nunn), McKay Section; grandchildren, Thomas, Lisa, Stephanie and Stacy; great grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Bailey, Robert, Charlotte, Alexander, Lily, Olivia; brother, Cyril, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by grandson, Sebry; sister in law, Joan Bissett. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to be held from 7-9pm Wednesday, March 22 with a Memorial Service 2pm Thursday, March 23, in Cole Harbour-Woodside United Church, 15 Bissett Road, Cole Harbour, Rev. Michael Mugford officiating. A reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cole Harbour Heritage Society.
