<div itemprop="description">DeWolfe, Vincent Henry &ndash; 92, Halifax. It is with heavy hearts we announce his passing on January 15, 2015, in the Camp Hill Veterans Hospital. Vince was born in Halifax to the late Joseph Arthur and Margaret (Martell) DeWolfe. He grew up in Dartmouth and worked with his father and brother at Imperial Oil Refinery. Vince joined the RCAF and was stationed to the 161 Squadron in Shearwater. In October 1942 Vince departed Canada for Iceland, where he worked on the Canso Catalina amphibious aircraft. After returning from war, Vince met the love of his life in January 1945, Marie Burke, originally from River Bourgeois, while skating on Lake Banook under the search lights. They settled in Dartmouth, and Vince returned to Imperial Oil until his retirement in 1970. Marie and Vince divided their time between Cape Breton and Florida. Vince and Marie always loved music and loved to dance, enjoying themselves with family and friends. Vince was an avid golfer and outdoorsman who excelled at fishing. He is survived by children: Gail Boudreau, Richard (Philippa) DeWolfe, Carol Buott, and Wayne (Maria) DeWolfe. Seven grandchildren: Vince and Paul DeWolfe; Kevin, Kelly and Dwight Boudreau; Nelson and Donna Marie DeWolfe; five great-grandchildren and his brother Nelson (Hilda) DeWolfe, Ontario. Vincent was predeceased by his wife Marie on May 25, 1990; his second wife Lucille on December 4, 2004; his son-in-law Ronnie Boudreau on October 21, 2004; his daughter-in-law Sandra (Acker) DeWolfe on October 17,1974: brothers Gerald, Leo, Laurie and Murray, and sister Doris. An extra special thank you and gratitude to his daughter-in-law, Maria DeWolfe, for the care she provided him during his last few years in St. Peters. Even through his struggles during his final months, Vince never lost his great sense of humor, and his appreciative and polite nature and remained young at heart. We would also like to thank the very caring staff on 6 floor at the Camp Hill Veteran&rsquo;s Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Service and Burial will follow in River Bourgeois in the spring.
