<div itemprop="description">Casey, William Arthur (Art), Age 85 of Smith Settlement, previously of Cole Harbour, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Dartmouth General Hospital, just three short months after his love passed. Born in Canso he was a son of the late George Casey and Mary Casey (Carter). In his early years he served in the Korean War, after returning home he became a painter and worked for various companies over the years. He loved spending all of the time that he could with his family, immediate and extended. He loved going for drives with no destination. I think he was best known for the teasing that you might get from him, it was one of his favorite pastimes. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as much as one man could. His day would brighten when any of them would walk through the door. He is survived by his daughters, Darlene (John) Peach, Karen (Wayne) Snell, Kathy (Norman) Best, and Anne Mosher; his grandchildren, Justin (Katherine), Mark (Julie), Scott (Heather), Melissa (Jason), Marlene (Jamie), LeeAnne (Steve), Billy and Christopher; greatgrandchildren, Kylie, Charlotte, Chase, Ella, Abigail, and Raylan. He was predeceased by his love of 57 years, Joyce Marlene, and his only son, David Bruce Mosher. He was the last surviving member of his family who consisted of Freeman, Lawrence, Lawson, Hughie, Bell, Blanch, Kaye, and Rhode. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, February 3, in Cole Harbour Funeral Home & Crematorium, 1234 Cole Harbour Rd., Cole Harbour. Corrinna 'Dolly' Mosher officiating. Reception to follow. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
